The front axle of the machines can get a little loose, and we can't do anything about that at the moment. But we have noticed that there is quickly looseness between the wheel mount and the front axle, and we have addressed this with a better fit and larger support surfaces to reduce wear. We have also replaced the slide bearing of the mount with ball bearings to eliminate the play that otherwise occurs in the slide bearings.\u003cbr\u003eOn these machines, the distance between the knife disk and the tires is small, and in combination with a front axle with play and loose wheels, the knives can hit the tires.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWe have used everything that is good about the wheel for the Nera models and combined it with our own ideas and what we think has worked well from older machines.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOur new wheel has the following advantages:\u003cbr\u003eReplaceable soft rubber tire like on older machines\u003cbr\u003eProtection against scratches and wear on the side of the wheel\u003cbr\u003eDouble ball bearings instead of two slide bearings for the wheel mount against the chassis\u003cbr\u003eBetter fit and larger support surfaces for the wheel mount against the front axle\u003cbr\u003eStainless steel locking washers that can be dismantled without special tools\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis front wheel fits newer machines that have a quick-release attachment to the front axle. \u003cbr\u003eTo change the wheels, the easiest way is to unscrew the front axle's 4 screws from the chassis, as there is a screw that attaches the wheel to the front axle from above.\u003cbr\u003eIf the front axle is very loose in the holes for the front wheels, you can fill it with silicone and let it harden before reassembly.
